Founded in 2015, the Wallace Farms 1.5 megawatt array was the first community solar farm in New York state.
Pre-dating the community solar law, this farm was established as a collaboration between Wallace Farms and 21 Finger Lakes businesses.
Each business has an individual meter associated solar array of 108 or 216 panels, adding up to 5,736 solar panels spanning 16 acres, providing clean power, with all proceeds staying local.
